Before you begin

We are delighted that you are interested in applying for a residency at Villa Karo, located in Grand-Popo, Benin. Before you begin, please read the call document for this residency, it contains full details on eligibility, terms, and the application process. Once you have reviewed it, complete all relevant sections of this form. We are unfortunately unable to provide personal support to individual applicants regarding their application.

The Community Arts Education Residency supports arts education professionals - educators, artists, museum pedagogues, community art practitioners, facilitators, storytellers, musicians, dancers and cultural workers - working with children and young people. Applications are open to professionals based in Finland and West Africa. There is no application fee. Successful applicants will receive a residency free of charge; West African participants also receive a small travel grant, while Finland-based participants are asked to cover their own travel costs.
